Elena Sonenshine – Jazz Vocalist
Elena Sonenshine is one of the leading figures of the Czech jazz scene. Known for her musical sensitivity, technical precision, and deeply emotional delivery, she brings a refined and expressive voice to both jazz standards and original material.
A graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague, Elena further developed her vocal style during international studies. In 2000, she founded her own band Elena Sonenshine & Jocose Jazz, which has since become a fixture at jazz festivals and clubs across the Czech Republic and Europe.
Elena specializes in American jazz standards, interpreted with elegance and emotional depth. Her style blends lyricism with rhythmic clarity and a natural sense of phrasing. She has collaborated with top musicians such as Emil Viklický, Jaromír Honzák, Petr Kořínek, and many others.
